The ever prolific writer, Betsy works as a biomedical writer and editor by day and spends her evenings and weekends (and sometimes her lunch hours) working on other creative and technical writing endeavors. She is the author of three previous books, one written as M. E. McMillan and two as  Elizabeth Blackstone.  Her free-lance contract writing encompasses everything from bioscience to advertising copy, and she has appeared as a guest on several radio talk shows in Cleveland, Virginia, Texas, Michigan and Florida. Betsy resides in Northeast Ohio with her husband  and is the mother of two grown children. Presently she has several novels and non-fiction manuscripts in various stages of completion.  

Betsy is available to speak to adult gatherings about any of her books and/or general writing topics.  She is also available to college groups and to high school junior and senior English classes and for career events. She loves to share her love of the craft and to discuss the available careers in writing...the ups and downs, the pay, the realities with students considering any aspect of writing in their future career plans..
