M. E.  (Betsy) McMillan has spent more than 20 years writing and editing for a living.  She has authored or coauthored three non-fiction books.  Her experience also includes a wide variety of genres, including technical (writing manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical instructions), biomedical  (writing and editing agricultural and pharmaceutical research), creative (writing voice scripts and copy for a major auto maker, several newsletters, press releases and publicity pieces) and journalism (writing news articles, commentary and theater reviews).    

Betsy is now available to speak to adult gatherings about her books and/or general writing topics and to share her love of the craft with high school and college level groups regarding careers in writing...the ups and downs, the pay, the realities.

Recent and Present Employment

Head writer and editor in a pharmaceutical CRO with a staff of four writer/editors.   

Wrote the text for Cadillac Eldorado 2001 and 2002 showroom catalogs

Wrote voice scripts for a telephone help line for GM dealers in the Eastern United States. 

Member of the creative team compiling the text for the product manuals for GM's 2001 vehicles (my specific assignment:  Buick Le Sabre, Park Avenue, Century and Regal; Chevrolet Malibu and Lumina)
